Postpartum Doula Services $50/hr (2 hour minimum)
As your postpartum doula I will be a valuable information resource and support person, especially sensitive to the needs of the new family. My presence will encourage family bonding and help mom tune into her natural and instinctive mothering skills, easing the transition from pregnancy, be it the first or the fifth! My presence also allows dad to give all his attention to his family knowing the household is running smoothly. My services include (but are not limited to):
- Breastfeeding support
- Assistance and suggestions for postpartum recovery
- References and resources for postpartum needs
- Newborn care while mother gets needed rest
- Instruction in basic newborn care and techniques
- Babywearing instruction
- Infant Massage instruction
I will also provide household support such as:
- Light house work
- Basic meal preparation
- Sibling or pet care
- Running errands
- Laundry
- Grocery shopping
- Helping in preparation and clean up for guests to visit or depart
