By offering a variety of doula services, Birth In Bloom hopes to have something to fit everyone’s needs and budgets. It is our goal to have a doula for every birth!
Birth Doula Services $950
- Two prenatal visits to assess your needs and desires for birth, define and understand our expectations of one another, and provide you with useful tools for labor and birth.
- Birth plan assistance to help you clarify your preferences for birth and explain the options that are available to you.
- Access to my lending library of books and videos about pregnancy, birth and baby care to support your learning and confidence.
- Unlimited phone and e-mail support to answer your questions and offer suggestions and support throughout pregnancy and early labor.
- Continuous physical, emotional, and informational support for you and your partner for the duration of labor and birth, to help you hold and move towards the vision you created for your baby’s birth.
- Initial breastfeeding support immediately after birth to help your baby latch on properly and encourage the establishment of breastfeeding.
- One postpartum follow-up visit to celebrate the birth of your baby and answer any questions you have during the early postpartum period, as well as as well as a written birth story for your baby.
Photography Package $1,000
In addition to Birth Doula services, I will provide professional quality photography for whatever portion of the birth you desire. Most often couples request a few labor photos and the rest once the baby has arrived. You will receive the low resolution images via email within 24 hours of birth and I will provide you with high resolution images on a CD with a beautiful customized label. All images can be provided in color, black & white or a combination of the two.
In Full Bloom Package $975
In addition to the Birth Doula services, enjoy the magic and beauty of your very own Belly Cast. In the privacy of your own home or mine, I will assist you in the creation of a plaster form of your belly (actually, a woman's breasts are often included too, but that is up to mom) It's a heartwarming way to capture what that beautiful belly looked like while carrying your little one. Will also provide suggestions and ideas for decorating.
After your casting session I will teach you the art of baby wearing, how to nurture that “4th trimester” when baby is outside but still needs that cozy comfort of being held close. We will try various baby carriers and slings, finding one that works well for your frame and lifestyle.
Additional items
Private Relaxation Classes $200
In addition to the Birth Doula services, this total sensory experience features the aromatherapy service as well as personalized relaxation coaching to teach you methods of relaxation for pregnancy, labor, birth as well as the postpartum period. The relaxation coaching sessions will be one hour each, one day per week over the course of 4 weeks in the privacy of your own home or mine.
Doula in a Bag $75
This incredible treat includes all of my favorite items for birth including handmade aromatherapy rice bag (to heat or cool), massage tools, relaxation CD, soothing peppermint chapstick all in a custom canvas tote bag.
