Local Swine Flu Policy Limits Women’s Choices in Childbirth

UPDATE 12/14/2009

We are pleased to announce that INOVA Hospitals have revised their policy!!! Women in L&D units are now only limited to three support people: a spouse or significant other (the individual whom the mother chooses to receive the baby band), and two additional visitors of the mother's choice. The visiting hours do not apply to any of these people. This is a huge victory for laboring mom's and families, support is key in the process of birth and the more you have the better!
